NRMP match related correspondence emails

For those of you who are anxious to know what are the three most important emails you will receive regarding residency match, in the chronological order they are:
1. email regarding certification of rank order list (ROL)
2. email regarding your match status (Did I match? email)
3. email regarding your program of match (Where did I match? email)

1. Email regarding certification of rank order list (ROL)
Firstly, after you have selected your rank order list (ROL) and certified it, you will get an email from NRMP regarding successful certification of the ROL

Dear John Doe:

Your rank order list was certified at 02/xx/20xx 07:42 PM for use in the Main Residency Match and is now on file with the NRMP. The listing of an applicant by a program on its certified rank order list or of a program by an applicant on the applicant's certified rank order list establishes a binding commitment to offer or to accept a position if a match results. Failure to honor that commitment may result in penalties as described in the NRMP's Violations Policy.

If you change your certified rank order list, your status will return to 'Ranking' in the R3 System.  You MUST re-certify your rank order list prior to the rank order list certification deadline in order to be included in the Main Residency Match.  To re-certify your list, click the 'Certify List' button on the Maintain Rank Order List page.  Please note that the System does NOT save any version(s) of previously certified rank order lists.  It saves only the version you see on the Maintain Rank Order List page.

You have a total of __ rank(s).

2. Email regarding your match status (Did I match? email)
If you match the first one will be like this

Subject: Did I match?
Congratulations! You have matched.

Check the Match Site at https://services.nrmp.org/R3/ on Thursday, March xx, 20yy, at 1:00 PM eastern time to find out where you matched. Because you are matched, you will not have access to any information about unfilled programs.
3. Email regarding your program of match (Where did I match? email)
Then you will get another email at the end of the work week which will like this

March xx, 20yy

        AAMC ID: 12------

        School Code: ------
        School Name: abc Medical College
        Applicant Name: John Doe

Congratulations, you have matched!

      Program Code: 10xxxxxC0

      Program Name: Internal Medicine
      Institution Name: U of __

For applicants for US residency who have gone through the process, those three emails are culmination of months and years of hard work, time and persistence and there might even be some sentimental value to save those emails for posterity.
